Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)
Description
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membranes are available in both hydrophobic and hydrophilic forms, with a wide range of chemical compatibility: hydrophilic membranes have much less protein adsorption than nitrocellulose, nylon, and PTFE membranes, It can be used for sterile filtration of liquids such as protein solutions, tissue culture media, antibiotics and ethanol, and particle removal filtration can also be used for applications such as biological testing (such as receptor binding studies, TCA precipitation). Hydrophobic membranes are suitable for organic solvent and air filtration. Even at very low differential pressures, moist air or other gases can pass unobstructed, while aqueous solutions cannot.
Application
1.It has excellent weather resistance, anti-aging performance and chemical stability, and high fluid transport performance.
2.Clarification and sterilization filtration of biological solutions.
3.It is very stable to organic solvents such as aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols and aldehydes.
4.Do not filter strong acid, strong base, ether, ester or ketone samples.
